Our client is an established company, with a strong presence manufacturing and providing mechanical and flow control products and solutions to a wide range of industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, energy mining and industrial systems. This multinational brand is looking for a driven Sales Director to drive its direction and generate growth both locally and within the emerging South East Asian region. The ideal candidate would be a strategically minded leader with a strong track record of driving business growth within the region.

about the job
The key purpose of this role is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.

As the Sale Director, you will play a crucial role in the company’s regional strategic and continued commercial success. Some of the core duties of the role include:

  • Directing the development of regional strategic and business plans to align with corporate established mission, vision and core values, ensuring their proper execution
  • Providing leadership to ensure optimal utilization of resources in attaining corporate and regional goals
  • Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales plans/strategies and quotas for the emerging South East Asia market
  • Projecting expected sales and profits for new and existing products
  • Developing, maintaining and managing key client relations and distribution channels
  • Providing vision and leadership for long term fiscal planning to ensure profitability and sustainability of the company

skills and experience required
To succeed in this pivotal role, you should be driven and have more than 8 years sales management experience, planning and financial oversight within the process and mechanical related industries. You will also ideally possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum of 8 years technical sales/marketing/business development experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and/or related industries
  • Strong experience handling technical industrial equipment
  • Proven skills in business and financial management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team
  • Good regional experience and ability to adapt cross-culturally.
