Key Responsibilities:

• Sanctions Compliance: Monitor, interpret, and apply international sanctions regulations, including those imposed by the UN, EU, OFAC, and other relevant bodies. Advise internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and best practices.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments related to sanctions and provide recommendations to mitigate potential risks. Assist in identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities in business processes.

• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs for employees to increase awareness of sanctions compliance and best practices. Foster a culture of compliance within the organization.

• Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the monitoring of transactions and business activities for potential sanctions risks. Prepare and present detailed reports on sanctions-related issues to senior management.

• Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, and risk management teams to address complex sanctions issues and support cross-functional initiatives.

skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution
• Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in compliance with 3 years in sanctions compliance advisory
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey and articulate complex concepts
• Knowledge of sanctions regimes, including MAS, OFAC, EU, UN sanctions, and regional regulations
