About the job
- You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company. These statements should be accurate and comply with accounting standards
- You will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable. This includes monitoring payment due dates, ensuring that invoices are paid on time, and managing collections of outstanding receivables.
- You will be responsible for maintaining the company's general ledger accounts. This includes recording all financial transactions and ensuring that all accounts are reconciled.
- You will ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with accounting standards.
- You will be responsible for preparing financial forecasts that help the company make informed business decisions. These forecasts may include projections of revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
Skills and Experience required
- To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of accounting principles within the insurance industry
- You should possess the ability to communicate effectively with other members of the company's management team
- You should also be detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and have excellent problem-solving skills
- A relevant degree in accounting or finance and a professional certification, such as CPA, would also be beneficial
- Big 4 insurance auditors should apply
