about the company

Our client is a leading shipping company which has expanded and diversified into various business sectors locally and overseas. Having expanded to various types of vessels of bulk carriers and tankers, we are now partnering with them to look for a newly created Senior Accounts Executive to join their finance team.

about the job

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will be working alongside a team of 4 and will be taking care of the day to day accounts analysis and monitoring of associate companies. In your role, you will be responsible for financial reporting, consolidation and preparation of monthly analysis and profit and loss accounts. You will also be providing support in regards to banking matters, loan financing and taxation matters of group companies.

skills and experience required

You should ideally possess a diploma/degree in accountancy with at least 7 years of working experience in the accounting function in a dynamic MNC, ideally in the shipping industry. Strong experience in handling full sets of accounts and tax is preferred. Supervisory experience and hands on experience in using SAP is ideal. Excellent communication skills to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.
