As a Senior Citrix Engineer, your job responsibilities involve:
- overseeing the implementation and support of Citrix projects and initiatives.
- Managing day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for the Citrix XenApp environment.
- Providing Level III escalation support for existing Citrix Xen Server and Xen App environments.
- Monitoring and ensuring Information team and relevant stakeholders are informed of all known risks to system availability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Installing, deploying, and managing Citrix Sharefile, including administering the User Migration Tool and offering daily escalation support.
- Handling maintenance scheduling, life cycle management, and capacity management for the Citrix environment and related technologies.
- Administering the Citrix environment, including NetScaler, SSL certificates, Web Interface, StoreFront, Active Directory Group Policy Objects, and environment security.
- Performing systems administration and support functions in both physical and virtual platforms of VMWare and Xen Server on Windows servers and applications.
- Implementing system hardening for all Citrix-related components through OS systems and applications updates and other best practices.
- Supporting Disaster Recovery Citrix solutions by collaborating closely with the Information Security Group to test and validate the resiliencies of these solutions.
- Documenting all resolutions to escalated issues, contributing to the documentation of Run Books, Solutions Design Documents, Test Scripts, as well as Process and Procedures documentation.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, and support contacts.
Skills and Experience required
As a successful candidate, you should have at least 6 years of working experience as a Citrix Engineer role with a proven track record of having implemented and managed Citrix projects and IT administration and operations.
You should have a strong hands on experience in managing and working in a highly virtualized environment coupled with strong hands on and technical knowledge of all Citrix layers.
Any exposure in a Global/Regional role is advantageous to have.
