about the company

Our client is a leading Commodities European bank and has strong client network across the region. With a strong history globally and in Asia, they are looking for an individual with strong working knowledge in Trade and Commodity Finance (TCF) for its Credit Analyst team with the TCF business in Singapore.

about the job

  • Part of a client facing function, this individual will be expected to work closely with the RMs to prepare a well analysed credit proposal for further approval.
  • Perform financial spreading and financial statements analysis, key business risks analysis, industry/sector analysis and the identification of any other economic data.
  • Perform periodic covenant checks, security monitoring, portfolio reviews, regular compliance checks on financial covenants on respective accounts; keeping management updated with any early warning signals.
  • Maintain a close liaison with all key internal/external stakeholders, providing recommendations to the RMs and Approvers when required.
  • Attend to clients’ queries when needed
  • Manage all documentation negotiations to see through the end to end process.
  • Ensure that all transactions and credit risk functions are carried out in compliance requirements
  • Participate in any business meetings or deal discussions when necessary.

Part of an excellent team with good training opportunities and work culture, this role reports in to the Head of Credit Analyst team for the TCF business.

skills & experience required

  • Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Management, Economics or comparable
  • Has 7+ years of credit analysis exposure related to the trade and commodity finance area (Energy, Metals, Soft Commodities, etc)
  • Prior experience in handling complex structured transactions within corporate banking
  • Proficient in MS Office, such as MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Good communication skills
