about the job

This is an exciting time to joint this great brand in their development. As the Senior Electrical Engineer (ELV Systems) you will be responsible for range of business critical task. Including:

  • To lead the Extra-Low Voltage systems design on assigned large scale projects during the tender, design, procurement, construction, commissioning until finale client acceptance phase.
  • To actively involve in designing of the relevant electrical systems include;
  1. Control systems, instrumentation, cabling and cable support systems for Process equipment, Industrial Facilities and Commercial Buildings.
  2. Life Safety System comprising of Public Address Systems, Access control, Closed Circuit, Gas Detection and Fire Alarm systems.
  3. Information Technology cabling System.
  4. P&IDs, Instruments and IO list, Sequence of Operations, Logic Diagrams, Cause and effect matrices.
  • Develop / Execute / Expedite ELV packages during design, procurement, construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned packages;
  • Co-ordination and scheduling activities for the ELV supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates.
  • Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into the ELV systems design.
  • Technical Evaluation of vendor submission including approval of shop drawings.
  • Preparing the procedure for testing and commissioning of individual system and manage subcontractor during commissioning of the Extra Low Voltage systems.
  • Guiding ELV engineers / Designer / Draftsman for preparing cable routing plan, hookup drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedule, Junction
  • Box schedule, Instrument Air manifold schedule, Block diagrams, P&IDs, Control System Schematic.
  • Mentoring of engineers during tendering, design and construction phase based on best practices defined in the engineering efficiency database.
  • Develop engineering efficiency documents under the guidance of the ELV Lead Engineer.
  • Prepare Extra-Low Voltage system tender packages including specification and drawings.
  • Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with latest country codes, current practices and engineering trends within the industry;
  • Tendering and estimating of the Extra-Low Voltage system works for projects prior to award.

skills and experience required

To success in this role you must posses the following;

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Controls.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience
  • Preferably experience in installation, programming, selection, installation, commissioning of Instrumentation for Process and Building control systems
  • Good with systems such as Fire Alarm, Security, IT data network, IT Structured cabling knowledge, construction management for Advanced Technology Facilities, Life Science & Chemicals, Energy & Environment Technologies
  • Excellent communication skill
