This is an established autonomous school in Singapore that has been growing in popularity in the last 5 years. They offer degree programs in the growing industries to give an alternative curriculum to students in those areas. Constantly changing with the needs of their students, they are currently looking for a Senior Finance Manager for the School.


About the job
In this role, you will be leading a team of finance managers and executives to ensure smooth daily operations. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure prompt and accurate month-end or year-end closing. You will also handle year-end audit matters, accounting issues and preparation of financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements. You will manage the cashflow and ensure efficiency and adequacy, including liaising with the banks. You will manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including the preparation of financial reports and analysis on business performance to management. You ensure accurate and timely preparation of GST, submission of grant claims, reports and statistics required by ministries and the statutory boards. You review investment schedules to ensure compliance with investment guidelines approved by the investment committee. You liaise with auditors on grant certification audit, internal and external audit. You will also be involved in the implementation of the new ERP system. You will continuously review the accounts, work processes, controls and proactively highlight key issues to the director/ CFO with recommendations for improvement.
skills and experience requiredYou are qualified with a degree in Accountancy or other professional qualifications recognised by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). You should ideally have at least 10 years of working experience with in depth knowledge of accounting and statutory reporting requirements. You have strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. You are diligent, meticulous and a good team player.
