Your role involves:
... - Ensure the overall quality of product functional and non-functional deliverables within the Global Products through independent quality audit of product specification, delivery & release processes, through the implementation of appropriate standards and quality controls on testing and defect management processes and through the design, implementation and management of an independent repeatable test capability.
- Participate in the governance of the company Business units’ IT investment and Procurement to ensure future-proofing of the company business success through IT investment and having good ROI (return on investments), facilitating price benchmarking and procurement leverages.
- Play a significant role in governance of IT Procurement and ensuring the quality of our Global Products, championing high delivery and service standards in ensuring products and projects are issue-free and is methodical in performing quality assurance activities, anticipating problems, and resolving issues
- Conduct review and endorsement of IT Capex from the Group Business Units and reviewing the return on IT investment. Aligning IT strategy and Global products Capex.
- Facilitate the Group’s IT master service agreements with vendors, jointly with Group Procurement. Building long-term partnerships with key vendors.
- Determine quality assurance objectives, such as key checkpoints and reviews in application development processes for both waterfall and agile developments
- Define, maintain and audit standards for the design and execution of application functional, automated and manual tests to be complied with by internal and/or outsourced development teams in their development process to ensure adequate and repeatable test coverage of application functionality
- Drive automated testing initiatives and familiar with automated testing tools and processes for both functional and non-functional aspects (such as system performance testing suite)
- Supervise, mentor and coach QA Testing Staff on a day to day level, both internal as well assigned through outsourcing vendors
- Apply knowledge from multiple disciplines to develop innovative improvement solutions and processes in Quality Assurance, recommends and implement these improvements through effective stakeholders’ management and communications
- Act as project manager for internal QA projects to improve and assure overall product quality (such as automated testing projects and tools used by teams for QA activities, such as ALM upgrade projects, etc)
Skills and experience required
As a successful applicant, you will have at least 8+ years of experience in quality assurance. Candidates with exposure to automated testing such as Katalone or Ranorex will be highly preferred.
Exposure to IT Governance will be of added advantage.
