This company is known for their specialization and market leader in Environmental Services. They focus in hazardous waste management servicing Oil & gas, Heavy Industry, Marine and chemical plant.

This is an urgent role to fill for the current project of Hazardous Waste Treatment Plant in Singapore.

about the job

As the Senior Mechanical Manager, you will be responsible for range of business critical task, including:

  • Engineering package development for cogeneration, flue gas treatment, pressurized equipment, pump, fan, piping etc.
  • To prepare tender documents, bid analysis, operating & maintenance procedures, mechanical drawings and piping layout.
  • Assess the construction costs, maintenance cost, and safety, constructability studies.
  • Draft and issue letters, memos, reports, project proposals, tenders, budgets, cash flows and programmes
  • Implement the management system for the project and allocate responsibilities to project team members with the required competencies
  • Review progress and identify problems/risks which may affect the timely completion of the project
  • Review monthly costs identifying problem areas where cost overruns have occurred and implement controls
  • Liaise with design consultants and contractors to ensure their works satisfy the project requirements
  • Review and recommend appointment of major suppliers and subcontractors
  • Review, sign and allocate follow up action for outgoing and incoming correspondence
  • Negotiate, amend or settle contracts, agreements and commitments related to the Construction of the Facility

skills and experience required

To succeed in this role you must possess the following skills and experience:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management.

  • At least 15 years of experience in project management and engineering with EPC/EPCM contractors or in water, waste, chemical, petrochemical, power plant, or green business industry.
  • Experience with process equipment and ideally an understanding of process.
  • Available to start in short notice.
