About the job
You will design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches & wireless controller/access points and network access control. Your other responsibilities are as follow:
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
- Provide day-to-day network support requests for office and production FAB networks
- Provide troubleshooting and fault finding on network incidents occur in office and production FAB networks
- Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations/laptops, telephony equipment, printers, and production equipment/tools
- Participate on internal and external network/security audit
- Liaise with infrastructure and application teams on a regular basis
- Provide standby remote support during weekends and after working hours for any production network related incidents
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with cabling work and network installation
- Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Perform and arrange network device/firewall firmware upgrade or preventive maintenance activities
- Reporting network tasks and projects status to key stakeholders
About the manager/team
You will be working in a team of 15 and report to the IT Manager
Skills and experience required
You will need min diploma or degree on Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar relevant field
- 3-5 years of experience in network administration
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required. HPE/Aruba or Fortinet/Palo Alto certifications is a plus.
- Hands on experience with equipment from HPE Comware/Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and ClearPass
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches (layer 2/3), firewalls, remote access, DNS, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, QoS, and VPN
- Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
- Familiar with ISO 27001 - Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT Department and outside the organization
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
