Our client is a renowned international consulting firm focused on maritime engineering. Their clientele includes government authorities, port authorities, industrial companies and private enterprises. They do both big-scale and small-scale projects worldwide.
Currently they are looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join the team due to increased demand of projects. The potential candidate will be involved in the design of infrastructure type of works (mostly Marine related). The company pays 13 months fixed annual salary with 21 days of annual leave. about the job
In all our design activities we strive for an economic optimum where constructability plays a crucial role in our concept selection. Creative thinking together with your colleagues and our clients is very important. Our designs are performed according to the Industry Standards and within the agreed boundaries of quality, schedule and costs.
- Design and analysis of Marine Structures (reinforced concrete, steel design, ship-shore design and some geotechnical affinity)
- Discuss your designs with the project manager where you put forward technical advice
- Mentor/ coach less experienced colleagues on the project
- Support the drafters and BIM modelers to ensure the drawings and models comply with the design and specifications.
skills & experience required
- You have a degree in Civil Engineering, focus on structural engineering and affinity with coastal and geotechnical engineering
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in the industry
- You have knowledge of project management and Industry Codes and Standards
