our client is a technology company that provides e-banking solutions product to prestigious banking clients. They have over 60 deployments in Europe and Singapore. They have a startup culture.

about job (Senior System Engineer)

  • Focus on Kubernetes / OpenShift, broad knowledge on Linux platforms, networking, IT infrastructure and virtualization
  • Setting up, operating and optimizing complex infrastructures with high availability, security and performance requirements
  • Consulting, setup, configuration and operation of Kubernetes, OpenShift or Anthos environments
  • Setup and operation of Kafka environments
  • Consulting, setup and deployment of microservices in the described context
  • Collaboration on projects both in the design and implementation of new solutions, in close cooperation with system architects, project managers and customers
  • Systems engineering activities in the corresponding areas of expertise

skills and requirements

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering or Computer science
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Systems Engineering Linux with profound knowledge in several of the following areas:
  • Linux and/or UNIX operating systems e.g. RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian.
  • Container virtualization and orchestration in the Kubernetes and OpenShift space.
  • Orchestration and automation e.g. Ansible
  • Messaging platform experience e.g. Kafka
  • Server virtualization solutions e.g. VMware vSphere
  • Scripting e.g. Bash Shell, Perl
  • Server, storage and backup systems
  • Prefer candidate from banking, financial services or consulting background
  • Experience with cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
