about the job

The Service Manager responsible for overall management of aftermarket parts, service and training to distribution partners and end-customers in the Southeast Asia region.

Responsibilities include:

Aftermarket Service

  • Provide prompt technical support and expert resolution for all aftermarket customer and product issues.
  • Improve the partnership among customers and distributors to communicate and promote the ability of company to provide the best customer experience through Service and Parts capability and capacity.
  • Build competent and direct aftermarket support for project commissioning to ensure start up procedures and processes are followed correctly.
  • Manage Authorized Service Centers to deliver excellent service to end-customers through constant review, audit of centers’ practices, coordinating and providing updated training when necessary.
  • Develop annual service plan and technical training activities for distribution partners. Support training events in Singapore as well as regional service training at Distributor facilities.

Aftermarket Training

  • Develop half yearly training program and curriculum for distribution partners and customers.
  • Manage training events in Singapore as well as regional service training at Distributor facilities.
  • Drive consistency in training capability and competency through common certification
  • requirements for all distribution partners.
  • Administer inhouse Learning Academy online program for all internal associates and business associates of distribution partners.

skills and experience required

To succeed in this role you must have the following skills & experience;

  • Technical degree with at least 7 years’ relevant experience
  • Preferably from relevant industry of industrial generator, power system, automotive, industrial equipment / machinery.
  • Customer-centric, strong communication and organizational skills
  • Hands-on and ready to support customers and team under ad-hoc and tight schedule
  • This position requires traveling to countries in the region (up to 30%)
