about the job
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Oversees and inspects the work performed by contractors.
Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in critical facility systems.
Familiar with site escalation procedures and the facility Incident Reporting (FIR) process
Familiar with Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems,
Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU units, Chillers, Air handling units, CRAC units, Fire Alarm systems,
...
and Fire Suppression systems.
skills & experience required
NITEC / Diploma in relevant studies
Min 2 years’ experience in mission critical facilities operating / engineering
- An strong understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center
environment will be an added advantage
Ability to do shift work
