• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

• Oversees and inspects the work performed by contractors.

• Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.

• Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in critical facility systems.

• Familiar with site escalation procedures and the facility Incident Reporting (FIR) process

• Familiar with Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems,

  Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU units, Chillers, Air handling units, CRAC units, Fire Alarm systems,
  and Fire Suppression systems.

skills & experience required

• NITEC / Diploma in relevant studies

• Min 2 years’ experience in mission critical facilities operating / engineering

• An strong understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center
  

  environment will be an added advantage

• Ability to do shift work
