- Collect related customer inquiries from Sales on specs, lead time
- Sourcing suppliers, networking, market information, negotiation
- Prepare cost estimates, tender, contracts and price finalizing
- Render support to business leaders for all project procurement matters
- Source for required material and suppliers, either directly or through consultant
- Procurement of material and negotiation with suppliers, ensuring price is always competitive and landed cost evaluation is performed
- Evaluate prices and suppliers and make selection recommendation to project and stakeholders
- Manage and plan Inbound Shipping : manage delivery suppliers (UPS), negotiate discount rate
- Manage Capital Equipment with engineering knowledge
- BOM and material planning to ensure smooth delivery at min. inventory level
- Yearly cost down evaluation
skills & experience required
- Master / Degree /Diploma in engineering / Logistics / Supply Chain or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience in EMS / Contract manufacturing environment
- Direct procurement experience dealing with vendors from overseas will be a plus
- Project management experience will be an added value
- PMP / PMI certified will be a plus
- Well versed with end to end procurement process (category & supplier management etc)
- Familiar with the procurement process, cost analysis method, able to reasonably determine the purchase price
