about the company
Our client is an e-commerce booking platform that serves many countries around the APAC region. They are looking to expand their development team by hiring PHP developers to build, improve and scale the current e-commerce platforms.

about the job

You will be working closely with the product and design team, as well as liaise occasionally with the development team in China to build and maintain server-side for their products

  • Build and maintain scalable and high performing web sites and solutions (B2B, B2C)
  • Architect, design, and implement new content and features for new and existing web sites
  • Initiate and drive changes, create effective processes and implement modern software development practices across your development team.
  • Work with the product team to clearly define the teams capabilities and organise work
  • Develop secure and large API applications to integrate with enterprise systems and public services
  • Work in an Agile environment and be part of the continuous improvement with new practices, ideas, concepts, methods and technologies
  • Understand and communicate what works, what doesn't, and why to the product team from a technical perspective

skills and experience required

  • More than 4 years of experience working with PHP and MySQL (LAMP stack).
  • Experience with using Laravel, CodeIgniter or Zend, Yii, etc
  • Strong in Object Oriented Programming (OOP), performance optimization, understanding of web security, scalability, etc
  • Experienced in implementing robust web application, optimizing database performance, data caching and server caching etc.
  • Experience with vue.js, Angular.js, react.js will be advantageous
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, MongoDB, Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ, etc
  • Technical or strong logical thinking skills required to communicate between engineering and product team
  • AGILE environment
