Our Client is a market leader in the Shipping industry. They have a well-established presence of more than 30 years with a global footprint of more than 15 countries. They are hiring a permanent role of Solution Architect / Cloud Architect (Azure) as an integral part of their expansion plans.

About the job

Reporting to the Global Head of Technology, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the Cloud Architecture solution and driving high quality solution designs which are resilient, robust, and scalable
• Setup of the design and development standards to be aligned across the development team in China
• Manage Stakeholders and Project Management expectations and through clear communication of system/solution capabilities and limitations and possible solutions.
• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources;
• Collaborates with Project Managers and technical staff to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution/application plan;
• Analyse the business technology needs and translate these needs into system and architecture requirements to ensure the business needs and requirements can be met by the architecture design
• Be the key person for solutioning area, implementing high-level plans and design proposals for IT solutions
• Aligning to the DevOps principles and toolsets being established with high degrees of automation throughout the development process. Continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous operational monitoring are baseline goals.
• Evaluating and recommending the use of leading edge technologies by considering their practicality and criticality

Skills and experience required

As a successful applicant, you will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS / PaaS / SaaS cloud-based technology and deployment architecture
• Come from a background of technical solution architect / Cloud architect
• At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing architecture systems with integration with other applications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven track record in Devops or Microservices will be highly preferred.
