Our Client is one of the the leading Global end user companies within their industry. With their Global HQ in Singapore and as part of their plan to invest in technology, they are now hiring a permanent role of a SQL DBA / SQL Database Administrator to join their team.


About the job

Your role involves:

• Managing SQL databases, monitoring system's health and performance. This includes database fine tuning and configuration
• Designing, setup and configuring load balancing on clusters
• Partnering with the application development team to implement database solutions
• Ensuring high levels of performance and availability, reviewing database server performance
• Installing and upgrading SQL Server, clients, and application development programs.
• Development of policy and procedures as they relate to database maintenance, security, and archiving.
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for all database systems.
• Fine tuning database configuration, reorganisation and backup & restore procedures

Skills and experience required


As a successful applicant, you will have:

• At least 5 years of experience in MS SQL Server configuration and database administration.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Candidates with experience in performance fine tuning, high availability and disaster recovery will be highly preferred.
