Our client is a well-reputable leading MNC within the process automation industry servicing segments including petrochemical, energy and broader industrial. Currently, to align their global and regional growth strategy, they are in search for a Market Segment Manager to support their business in the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will be focused on the APAC region, supporting their continued ambitious growth plans.


about the job

In your role, you will be collaborating closely with the Managing Director of Asia along with the sales/marketing teams to act as a Segment specialist in the region to drive revenue growth. The key segments covered will be Service/Process industries - such as Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Petrochemical etc. Some of the core duties of the role include:

  • Implementing global and regional strategies of the specific segments
  • Developing tactical and quarterly business plans to facilitate and meet strategic goals
  • Ensuring smooth transfer of knowledge and collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams across the globe/region to ensure consistency in market
  • Providing strong technical and commercial support to the overall business
  • Support the sales teams in maximising competitive advantage of business, within the region

skills and experience required

To qualify for this critical role with strong growth potential, you will need to be a commercially minded professional and ideally have a Degree in Engineering or related fields and:

  • Have at least 6 years of relevant industrial B2B knowledge and Regional Business Development experience within the specific industry
  • Strong communication skills and able to work autonomously
  • Comfortable meeting external stakeholders of all levels and com
  • Good understanding of technical/industrial marketing landscape.
  • Developing market strategies for technical products/services
