The client is a major retailer with regional presence and they are looking to further expand their market footprint with their extensive portfolio of product offering at the best value to consumers. An opportunity now exists for a Supply Chain Manager to drive rebuy efforts and inventory optimization for their Retail and Distribution Centres.

about the job

  • Work hand-in-hand with retail operations for optimal replenishment activities to ensure no SKU overstocking or stockout
  • Ensure effective multi-modal distribution for the local market
  • Lead a team and to ensure optimal operational performance in the areas of Inventory Management, Demand and Supply Planning
  • Collaborate with in-house DC team for enhanced product integrity within the supply chain
  • Ensure appropriate communication to sites and customers in case of events impacting the distribution chain, and to support the crisis management workflow in times of distribution downtime
  • Interface with the relevant strategic and compliance managers to ensure that the supply chain logistics strategy is up-to-date with the latest market trend and demand
  • Build collaborative relationships with Suppliers, Merchandisers and Outlet Managers to foster a seamless and efficient inventory replenishment process
  • Leverage upon business intelligence and data analytics and make strategic decisions to curb OOS and overstocking issues at Stores and DC
  • Convey and translate high-level forecasting information to DC operations level to drive operational readiness, especially over promotional seasons
  • Drive store replenishment initiatives through detailed analysis of replenishment frequency and lead time
  • Work with and influence suppliers to define min/max parameters and minimum order quantity

skills and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years experience in Supply Chain Planning
  • Possesses strong supply chain planning concepts
  • High commercial acumen and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Thrives in an ambiguous and high-SKU count environment
