As a LIMS Senior Systems Analyst (Laboratory Information Management Systems), your job responsibilities involve:
- Leading the implementation strategy of new LIMS while coordinating all UAT activities and collaborating with laboratory end-users to prepare acceptance criteria.
- Providing operations support and guidance to end users in implementing new LIMS functionality.
- Working closely with laboratory personnel, vendors, and IT professionals to understand needs, configure and maintain LIMS for efficiency and performance.
- Creating and executing computer system validation documents while adhering to regulations.
- Participating in the life cycle management of the LIMS system, including operational functionality, maintenance, version control, and upgrades.
- Developing and maintaining assigned applications, ensuring availability, reliability, and continuity.
- Acting as the technical point of contact for troubleshooting, adding new instruments/workflows, and new end users.
- Working closely with the laboratory leadership and project management teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensuring availability, security, and maintenance of LIMS data.
- Establishing procedures to secure LIMS and related applications, actively mitigating potential security risks.
- Ensuring data and applications are protected according to the company's disaster recovery policies.
- Training employees requiring LIMS access as needed, using both internal manuals and classical methods to ensure optimal user knowledge.
Skills and experience required
As a successful candidate, you should have at least 6 years of experience in a Systems Analyst / Technical Lead role with a proven track record of having implemented at least 1 end to end LIMS project.
You should also have good hands on experience in the configuring and maintaining of LIMS platforms coupled with a good working experience with programing tools such as Java / Python.
