about the job

You will report to your Regional Sales Manager and be responsible for revenue targets of genotyping products across South East Asia countries (including Singapore), via close collaboration with Account Managers and distributors / channel partners.

  • Develop and implement selling strategies to win greater market share for assigned product portfolio
  • Engage key customers on through presentations, workshops and /or technical discussion to win deals and accelerate revenue growth for the portfolio
  • Identify opportunities and go on sales calls both independently or with direct sales teams
  • Serve as the technical resource to support local sales teams and distributors in complex sales situations
  • Provide leadership to direct sales teams and distributors in driving consumables sales of the assigned portfolio by active management of our install base, maintaining KOL relationships and establishment of reference labs
  • Participate in the planning and sales process, and collaborate with Marketing team to define overall strategy

skills and experience required

  • Masters/PhD in biology, medicine, or bioengineering
  • 3 years+ working experience in either a laboratory-based role (research scientist / medical technologist / research instrument manager) or a commercial function (application / sales / product management)
  • Good knowledge of Genetics research techniques including PCR, Microarray, and Next-generation sequencing
  • Extensive research experience with genome-wide association studies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel in SEA region for up to 50% of the time
