Our Client is a leading MNC with strong presence in APAC and Europe, they are the market leader in the Industrial sector that it operates in. With their new expansion plans, they looking for a dedicated Trade finance officer to join their business.

about the job

Reporting to the VP trade finance, you will support the trade finance team on the day to day activities, processing of import and export bills, trade bills transactions which includes advising, settlements, forfaiting and other re-financing trade bills. You will countercheck the import and export documents, liaising with customers on any amendments to rectify discrepancies and acceptance of import bills. You will support operations team on any documentary or trade finance issues, coordinating with offshore offices to provide regular updates on trade flows. You will also work closely with treasury on receivables and payables relating to cargo financing, liaising with operators and accounting team to update banks’ position in timely manner, and supporting any ad-hoc duties assigned.

Skills & experience required

• At least 2 years’ working experiences in trading company or in trade-commodity finance function in the bank.
• Reasonable proficiency in UCP600 with good understanding of checking experience in import and export shipping documents.
• An individual who is detailed-oriented, precise, reliable and patient. Able to work under pressure and aptitude to work in a team.
• Strong communication skills and able to interact with diverse groups of people in an international environment.
