about the team

You will be part of the Asia Currencies and Emerging Market Middle Office team where you will be working closely with Front Office and performing trade support for multiple asset classes including Rates, Currencies, Credit, Fixed Income and Exotics in the Asia Pacific region.

about the job

  • Ensure accurate capture of the business’s transactions in the Risk Management system
  • Maintain risk management and downstream system integrity of exotic derivative products
  • Provide P&L and portfolio changes to Trading Desk and FX Structuring Team
  • Investigate and resolve P&L queries from Front Office
  • Analyse and approve new transactions against structured term sheets and broker confirmations
  • Ensure compliance with the various regulatory standards i.e. Transaction & Trade Regulatory Reporting
  • Monitor and manage trade events throughout the lifecycle of the transactions
  • Review legal confirmation documentation for accuracy
  • Run through risk scenarios for Front Office which include producing impact of model parameter remarking, analytics, hypothetical market situations
  • Provide risk exposure reports
  • Make recommendations to improve processes and ensure controls are put in place to minimise gaps
  • Participate in projects

skills and experience required

  • Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of Middle Office Operations/Trade Support experience within Investment Banking
  • Demonstrated experience in Transaction & Trade Regulatory Reporting i.e. ESMA, CFTC, MIFID, GTR Reporting (MAS/HKMA/ASIC)
  • Familiarity with Credit exposure/trade support including Credit Default Swaps/Credit Derivatives
  • Understanding of P&L and Risk
  • Knowledge in other Vanilla and complex Derivative products is a plus
  • Good communications and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
