about the job

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer who can work on translate user research, surveys and interviews that has been conceived and conducted, into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes. He/she will be responsible in designing the overall functionality of the product for greater user experience (including user testing). he/she will also work closely with internal stakeholders, mainly to resolve user interface issues with frontend developers. We will be highly keen on designers who can keep up to date with the latest user design concepts and software development changes to remain competitive. As the larger markets sit in Japan and New York hence, a good understanding of the Japanese consumer market will be an added advantage.

about the manager/team

Reporting to the CTO, this position will be the pioneer in UI/UX with an external UI designer support to work with. Subsequently, they will be expanding into a team in the near future. Being the first hire, you will have the potential to lead in the future, hence candidates who have strong experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments would be most suitable.

skills and experience required

  • At least Diploma in relevant field
  • Strong in Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills is a plus
  • Deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • Solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Familiar with Japan market
