In this position, you will be responsible for underwriting of insurance products within the portfolio of the Financial Lines business, such as Liability, Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice, Crime, Cyber, Financial Institutions Insurance. You will be expected to drives new business in Financial Lines Middle market & small commercial segment and maintains close rapport and relationship with intermediaries/producers.

In order to be successful in this position, the incumbent must be able to evaluate, accept or reject risk submissions in accordance with the underwriting guidelines and authority Level.

Skills and experience required

• 3+ years of relevant experience underwriting personal lines insurance
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with brokers, agents and internal stakeholders
• Display analytical skills and ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within designated authority
• Relevant Insurance qualifications (CPCU, RPLU, ACII, CGI) or equivalent are a plus
