About the Job

Due to business expansion, the company is looking to recruit for Underwriting Assistant to join the Marine team. In this position, you will be tasked to work alongside a small team and deliver high quality client service by supporting ownership of the operational functions of the team allowing them to focus on production and underwriting.

This includes (but is not limited to) tasks such as entering data into underwriting and various other systems required to track business, reviewing policy documents, handling broker, accounting or policies queries and working with underwriters to review renewal and new business submissions.

In order to be successful in the position, the Underwriting Assistant will also be expected to act as the first point of contact for all processing duties and working closely with the operation team to resolve all queries.

skills and experience required

  • 1+ years of relevant experience as Underwriting Assistant/Support/Executive with an Insurance company or Insurance Broker
  • Experienced supporting Underwriters in Marine Insurance may apply
  • Eye for detail and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proactive approach and desire to deliver the best service to internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
