This role will be responsible to lead offshore initiatives and implement automation technologies to drive operational efficiencies.
- Manage internal operations, systems, and workbench initiatives.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify and address operational issues. Provide support, training, and guidance to Underwriting Assistants, Operations Leads, and Associates.
- Ensure consistency and service excellence by offering operational guidance to Underwriters.
- Manage and mentor a team, set goals, and facilitate effective communication.
- Oversee product development, risk engineering, and staff training.
- Liaise with other regions to leverage knowledge and improve specialty product line.
- Maintain procedures, enforce data quality, and comply with legal requirements. Continuously seek self-improvement and contribute to product enhancement.

skills and experience required
- Significant previous relevant experience in the Life or General (non-Life) Insurance industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of PC based systems and applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems for managing contacts, schedules and calendars is required.
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline would be desirable.
- Previous relevant experience in a supervisor capacity desirable
