about the job

under the mentorship of a Senior Consultant / Manager, you will be supporting the sourcing of candidates within the technology sector. You will have the opportunity to gain great insights in the talent pool through market mapping, candidate management and control process by applying Randstad recruitment methodology and concepts. You will attend client meetings and gain wider exposure in market and business knowledge. As an IT recruiter, you will also:

  • initiate a range of sourcing activities, such as advertising job vacancies, networking and conducting referrals to ensure a regular supply of candidates who meet client's current and future demands
  • develop and manage the recruitment process for clients through sourcing, screening and qualifying, briefing and preparing candidates, organising interviews and sometimes negotiating remuneration packages to ensure client needs and expectations are met in a timely manner
  • provide advice to candidates and clients when required on salary levels, training requirements and career progression opportunities to facilitate the recruitment process.
  • generate sales leads through candidate management for the team.

about the manager/team

We have a proven record to help our associate recruitment consultants gain a strong industry knowledge and commercial acumen to become full-fledged recruiting consultants. This can be achieved within a time frame of 12 months depending on individual performance. You can expect to work in a team environment and learn from other consultants within the team.

skills and experience required

  • University degree or higher education discipline in technology to be able to understand the various technical language used during the recruitment process
  • 1 year of client servicing/technology experience is an advantage
  • Consistent achievement of both individual and team targets
  • Strong communication skills with solid business development acumen is essential
  • Able to work in a fast growing pace environment
  • Flexible and positive work attitude is a trait to achieve success in this role

This role will offer you an opportunity to develop your commercial acumen as well as relationship management skills. You will be required to cold call, build rapport and relationship with clients and candidates and at the same time gain knowledge and job market trends about the information and technology industry.
