As the AML Compliance Team Lead, you will take ownership of the organization's financial crime surveillance strategy, driving governance standards and continuous process enhancements across the enterprise.
- Spearhead the second-line AML and CTF monitoring framework to mitigate financial crime risk and safeguard enterprise operations.
- Elevate regulatory compliance by maintaining and operationalizing policies in alignment with MAS Notice 314 and sanctions regimes.
- Direct complex financial crime investigations and deliver defensible recommendations on suspicious transaction reporting to senior executive leadership.
- Optimize surveillance controls by leading digital process automation initiatives and modernizing compliance operational workflows.
- Champion a proactive compliance culture through the design and delivery of targeted AML training programs across key business units.
About the manager/team
You will lead a high-performing compliance unit within a collaborative environment under the direct guidance of a progressive Head of Compliance, offering significant strategic visibility and cross-functional leadership exposure.
Skills and experience required
- In-depth technical knowledge of Singapore regulatory frameworks, specifically MAS Notice 314, sanctions regimes, and STR lifecycles, with professional certifications such as CAMS or ICA Diploma preferred.
- Proven functional expertise in managing end-to-end financial crime compliance operations and second-line monitoring activities.
- Established professional background within life insurance, wealth management, or the broader financial services sector.
- Track record in leading team operations, automating surveillance workflows, and driving continuous operational delivery.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to effectively advise internal business partners and engage with regulatory authorities.
