Our client, a reputable MNC consulting management, is looking for an APAC Director of QS & Cost Management for an on-going client that they are serving
about the job
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of cost management services for a diverse regional/APAC project portfolio, ensuring all commissions meet quality standards, budgetary targets, and client expectations.
- ct as the primary, day-to-day client interface. Lead and facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams—including clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers—across the APAC region.
- Direct and mentor a high-performing cost management team. Manage resource allocation against the regional business pipeline, conduct performance reviews, and drive recruitment for vacant positions.
- Oversee all estimating and cost planning activities. Establish robust cost benchmarks, cost reporting structures, and project control mechanisms encompassing schedule, risk, and change management.
- Lead complex value engineering and life-cycle costing exercises. Identify cost drivers, manage variations, and lead commercial negotiations and contract administration.
- Take ownership of internal risk management procedures, financial performance tracking against project budgets, and comprehensive invoicing processes/billing compliance.
skills & experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management/Construction or Engineering equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of experience in cost management and quantity surveying in consultancy / owner / developer environment
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex construction projects or portfolios across the APAC region
- Experience in managing financial institute client will be a plus
- Deep expertise in value management, value engineering, life-cycle costing, and post-contract cost reporting
