about the job.
Serving as a critical partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams and leading a legal team, you will be responsible for advising on project development M&A, joint ventures and strategic investments within the regional energy space. You will also oversee compliance frameworks, risk management procedures, and corporate governance protocols across regional subsidiaries, while reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts, managing external legal counsel, and providing strategic counsel for pre-litigation disputes and general corporate operational matters.
skills and experience required.
You are a qualified lawyer with at least 10 PQE with extensive experience in the energy industry handling project development and/or M&A and investment transactions. You possess a strong background in advising on projects, navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments, and providing pragmatic advice on commercial matters. You are commercially minded, detail-oriented, collaborative and highly analytical, with a proven track record of partnering effectively with senior stakeholders and guiding internal teams.
