Key Responsibilities

Project Acquisition: Identify and secure major structural steel contracts (plates, sections, columns) with tier-1 developers, contractors, and fabricators.
Design Optimization: Evaluate client blueprints to propose alternative metallurgical specifications and design efficiencies that reduce overall project costs.
Engineering Consultation: Partner with project design teams to streamline fabrication, assembly, and erection methodologies.
Bidding & Estimation: Oversee the generation of precise, compliant, and commercially viable bids tailored to regional engineering standards.
Scrap Sourcing & Trading: Originate and secure steady streams of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from demolition projects and industrial plants, managing the buying/selling process to maximize margins.
Logistics & Compliance: Direct the movement, verification, and clearing of materials, ensuring strict alignment with international maritime laws and environmental mandates.
Market Intelligence: Monitor global commodity trends and pricing shifts to optimize trading strategies.

Job Requirements

Education: University degree in Structural/Civil Engineering, Material Science, Metallurgy, or a related Business discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of commercial business development experience within the steel construction or heavy industrial sectors.
Domain Expertise: Documented success in structural design optimization alongside an established network in the recycled metals or commodities space.
Technical Literacy: Deep familiarity with metallurgical grades, fabrication processes, and structural load mechanics; proficiency with drafting or modeling software is a plus.
Commercial Acumen: Advanced capability in industrial contract structuring, risk mitigation, and corporate negotiations.
