Randstad is partnering with a leading manufacturing client to hire a Facility Building Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and overall management of the building. You will ensure optimal operational efficiency, safety, regulatory compliance, and service excellence across all assigned sites.
about the job
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring the smooth performance of all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lifts.
- Plan and implement both preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Lead EHS initiatives, ensuring strict adherence to workplace safety regulations through routine inspections, risk assessments, and policy enforcement.
- Maintain and optimize essential manufacturing utilities (e.g., chilling systems, compressed air) and ensure strict environmental compliance for cleanroom and HVAC systems to prevent production downtime
- Prepare and oversee facility budgets, track key performance metrics, and manage external contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
- Train and guide staff while driving continuous improvement initiatives for facility reliability, environmental sustainability, and workplace safety.
skills and experience required
- Degree/ Diploma in Facilities Management / Engineering / Real Estate, or a related discipline.
- Min 8 years of relevant facilities experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally from cleanroom ISO 7/8)
- Preferably individuals with lean six sigma / PMP / Fire Manager certificatio
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance planning, and workplace safety regulations
- Able to commence immediate or short notice will be a plus
- The plant is running on 12 hour shift pattern , prepared to be call back when there is a need due to operation needs.
