- Oversee the end-to-end monthly financial closing process, multi-entity general ledgers, and consolidated management reporting for regional leadership.
- Manage complex multi-currency transactional reconciliations, scheme settlements, and merchant liability tracking across digital payment rails.
- Champion regulatory compliance and safeguarding protocols in line with local monetary framework standards across regional jurisdictions.
- Direct external audit engagements, statutory filing deadlines, and corporate secretarial matters alongside external tax and advisory partners.
- Conduct granular unit economics and gross margin analyses to evaluate pricing models, operational costs, and profitability metrics.
- Provide strategic mentorship to finance team members while establishing automated workflows to support scalable business growth.
skills and experience required
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline alongside professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.
- Proven track record in full-spectrum financial accounting, multi-jurisdictional audit management, and complex transaction reconciliations.
- Solid grasp of local regulatory compliance frameworks, financial services governance, and merchant settlement mechanisms within high-growth environments.
- Advanced analytical proficiency using large transactional data sets, financial modeling tools, or data query languages.
- Collaborative mindset with excellent stakeholder management capabilities and a focus on driving continuous career progression.
