My metals commodities client is expanding their Risk & Finance team and looking for a meticulous, proactive Risk Analyst to take ownership of the front-to-back operational control framework. In this newly created position, you will act as an independent validator, ensuring the absolute integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our end-to-end commodity trade lifecycle.
You will work closely with Trading, Operations, and Finance teams locally, while acting as a critical bridge to their global headquarters.

- Continuously enhance the company's trade control framework, maintaining robust governance processes and policies across the trade lifecycle.
- Perform independent verification of trade captures, amendments, and cancellations to guarantee complete and timely records.
- Oversee daily trading activities and positions, ensuring absolute consistency between trading systems and operational records.
- Proactively investigate, escalate, and resolve trade discrepancies, control weaknesses, or operational breaches.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of key trading data, positions, and margins to ensure strict alignment with internal policies.
- Partner with Trading, Operations, and Finance teams to optimize front-to-back execution and settlement workflows.

skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Trade Control, Middle Office, Product Control, or Commodity Operations.
- A solid grasp of the commodity trade lifecycle, pricing mechanisms, Incoterms, and physical/derivatives contract structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; hands-on experience or proficiency with VBA is highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills. Professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred to ensure seamless, day-to-day collaboration with stakeholders at global headquarters.
- A self-motivated individual who thrives under pressure and can adapt quickly within a fast-paced trading environment.
