The Role
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, you will serve as the technical authority on the shop floor, ensuring manufacturing processes run at peak efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Equipment & Process Setup: Leading the installation, qualification, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment while ensuring seamless integration into existing lines.
- Technology Transfers: Managing the transfer of processes from global sites, ensuring they are stabilized, optimized, and properly documented for the local environment.
- Real-Time Troubleshooting: Providing rapid, hands-on support to resolve shop-floor bottlenecks, investigating customer claims, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Process Optimization: Championing LEAN initiatives and utilizing SPC charts, SAP, and PDA tools to monitor data trends, eliminate redundancies, and improve cycle times.
- Leadership: Mentoring technicians and junior engineers on machine operations and championing PFMEA across all critical processes.
Requirements:
... - Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Material Science Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of Process Engineering experience, with a strong track record in machine commissioning.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and continuous improvement tools, including SPC, DOE, FMEA, and LEAN techniques, alongside basic SAP (Material Management) knowledge.
- Ability to make swift, data-driven decisions on the shop floor to minimize yield loss and resolve engineering issues.
