- Strategic NPI Sourcing: Lead end-to-end sourcing for New Product Introductions, engaging suppliers early in the design phase to ensure strict cost, quality, and availability targets are met.
- Cost & Value Engineering: Drive aggressive cost-reduction strategies through target costing, product teardowns, and expert negotiation of supplier pricing and terms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Category teams to align product requirements with commodity strategies and ensure seamless product launches.
- Global Supplier Management: Manage the full lifecycle of overseas and local suppliers, from vetting and onboarding to mitigating risks and building long-term, value-added partnerships.
- Operational Optimisation: Analyse lead times, maintain up-to-date product cost models, and identify critical paths to prioritise demand and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Procurement, NPI, or Material Engineering within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and BOM structures, coupled with a proven track record in global supplier management and cost negotiation.
