Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, you will be responsible for the health, efficiency, and continuous improvement of all plant equipment and electrical systems. You will lead a combination of preventive maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and modernization projects on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Reliability & Troubleshooting: Execute comprehensive preventive and breakdown maintenance programs. Perform root cause analysis on machinery faults using downtime data to implement long-term corrective measures.
- Project & Systems Improvement: Spearhead maintenance modernization projects, including workshop 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Champion the use of SAP to streamline maintenance processes and manage spare parts procurement.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce stringent safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain ISO standard documentation. You are empowered with the authority to halt production lines immediately should safety or operational abnormalities arise.
- Installations & Upgrades: Partner with the Plant Engineering Manager to execute new machine installations, equipment upgrades, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and guide a team of maintenance technicians to support production lines utilizing the latest automation technologies.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant maintenance and troubleshooting experience within a highly automated manufacturing or industrial plant.
- Strong practical expertise in Automation and Control engineering, specifically with Siemens TIA portal, PLC S7/S5, and Siemens drives (Master drives, Micromaster, and Sinamics).
- High proficiency in interpreting complex electrical circuit diagrams. Additional knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics is highly advantageous.
- Solid computer literacy, including MS Office; prior experience with SAP is a distinct plus.
- A strong, hands-on mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility and commitment to support plant operations, which includes shift coverage, overtime on weekdays/weekends, and providing on-call support during and after office hours.
