We are partnering with an established agri-commodities trading company with a strong global presence in the market. I am seeking a detail-oriented Operations Executive – Grains to join their team and drive operational excellence.

about the job

Oversee end-to-end execution of grain contracts (wheat/soybean), covering both bulk and containerized shipments
Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, inspection agencies, surveyors, ports, and warehouses to ensure timely delivery
Prepare, verify, and process shipping and trade documentation, including invoices, BLs, certificates of origin, fumigation, weight/quality certificates, etc
Track vessel positions, monitor shipment progress, and manage any in-transit issues or delays
Ensure all operations are compliant with contract terms, Incoterms, and regulatory/export requirements
Support traders and risk managers by maintaining accurate contract and shipment records
Manage claims, disputes, demurrage/despatch calculations, and coordinate with legal or insurance teams where needed
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (trade finance, accounting, logistics) to ensure seamless execution and cash flow tracking

skills and experience required

At least 3 years of relevant experience in physical commodity operations, preferably grains (wheat, soybean, corn, etc.)
Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, trade finance (including LC handling), and export/import documentation
Familiarity with major grain export origins (e.g., US, South America, Black Sea) and destination markets (e.g., Asia, MENA)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
