In this role, you will lead an operational team within the general insurance segment to drive technical proficiency and service excellence specifically for the agency distribution channel. You will oversee daily workflows, ensure adherence to underwriting standards, and guide your team in optimizing service quality for agency partners.
• People Leadership: Supervising, coaching, and guiding team members to achieve individual and operational performance metrics.
• Channel Operations: Allocating daily tasks, monitoring operational progress, and implementing performance enhancement initiatives to ensure service quality for the agency network.
• Risk Underwriting: Evaluating and underwriting commercial and industrial risks within delegated authority limits in strict alignment with guidelines and treaty terms.
• Technical Governance: Formulating recommendations and escalations to the senior underwriting committee for complex risks exceeding established authority boundaries.
• Portfolio Management: Preparing compliant, competitive quotations for agency partners while reviewing renewal terms and policy adjustments.
• Risk Surveying: Coordinating and executing risk surveys to compile technical data and support sound underwriting decisions.

You will report directly to the Operations Head and lead a dedicated team of general insurance executives focused on agency channel support. skills and experience required
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and professional experience:
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of working experience within the general insurance sector, with exposure to the agency channel.
• Certification: Possession of the Certificate in General Insurance (CGI).
• Technical Competency: Technical understanding of commercial and industrial underwriting guidelines and risk evaluation methods.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills alongside collaborative interpersonal capabilities.
