About the role
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to support the Finance Operations department. Your duties will include daily monitoring and reconciliation of incoming and outgoing funds in bank accounts. You will also assist in streamlining and automating processes, including upgrading the Accounting system. This role involves processing payments to staff and vendors in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines, and setting up GIRO arrangements. You will also handle month-end and quarter-end tasks such as fixed assets and depreciation, bank reconciliations, and preparing schedules for reporting.
Skills and experience required
The ideal candidate will have an ACCA certification or a Diploma in Accountancy. You should be proficient in MS Excel and have experience in the insurance industry. Key skills required for this position include experience in payment processing, automation, UAT, and reconciliation.
