About the role
- Technology Operations & Infrastructure: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and support of the core IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and cloud platforms. Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective delivery.
- Application & Service Management: Lead the team responsible for supporting all business applications. Ensure a high level of service availability and performance, and manage the full lifecycle of incident and problem resolution.
- IT Risk & Compliance: Serve as a key liaison to the IT risk and compliance teams. Ensure all IT operations and application support activities adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with IT risk assessments, audits, and business continuity planning.
- Strategic Project Delivery: Lead and manage cross-functional IT projects, from system upgrades and migrations to new application deployments. Provide regular progress updates to senior management and ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
Skills and experience required
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on IT management and operations.
- Proven experience covering a wide range of IT domains, including infrastructure, application support, and a working knowledge of IT risk.
