System Optimization & Support
Requirements Engineering: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Documentation) to translate complex business needs into robust functional specifications.
Operational Excellence: Provide high-level support for shipping applications, performing deep-dive root cause analysis and coordinating rapid resolutions for system bottlenecks.
Process Innovation: Continuously audit and optimize system workflows to enhance efficiency in liner shipping operations.
Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize SQL and interface log analysis to diagnose and resolve data-driven or integration issues.
Vendor Management: Act as the primary liaison with external vendors and internal IT to oversee system enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests.
Project Leadership & Implementation
End-to-End Delivery: Lead the IT application development lifecycle—from scoping and priority setting to implementation and post-go-live support.
Lifecycle Management: Spearhead system upgrades, ERP transformations, and the rollout of new modules.
Quality Assurance: Define and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and project acceptance criteria to ensure technical solutions meet business standards.
Change Management: Develop comprehensive user guides and facilitate training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies.
skills and experience required
Experience & Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Logistics, or a related field.
Domain Expertise: 6–10 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, with a mandatory 3+ years specializing in liner shipping systems (e.g., Solverminds, CargoWise, INTTRA, or proprietary ERPs).
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the shipping lifecycle, including BL/documentation, EDI integrations, vessel scheduling, and equipment management.
Data Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with SQL and data reporting to drive informed decision-making.
