about the job
- Handling of all cashiering duties, such as daily opening and closing procedures, reconciliations, and managing petty cash.
- Handling diverse payment methods (cash, credit, digital) with high accuracy via POS
- Process returns, exchanges, and gift card transactions
- Capture and update customer information in POS
- Boost sales by upselling promotions and products during transactions
- Adhere to all loss prevention and security protocols at the register
- Reconcile daily cash register transactions and ensure accurate settlement
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and front-of-store
- Address customer enquiries
skills and experience required
- At least 2 years in cashiering experience, with a high sense of ownership and self-integrity
- Self-driven and meticulous, thriving in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive, customer-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and provide excellent service.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions.
- Flexibility to work during retail operating hours, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
