This position plays an essential role in managing automotive portfolio liabilities and delivering end-to-end claim resolutions within the general insurance division. Operating within an established claims framework, you will oversee the technical evaluation of motor claims while maintaining service quality across multiple distribution networks.
• Claims Adjudication: Reviewing policy contracts to assess coverage, establishing financial reserves, and validating liability within authorized limits.
• Stakeholder Negotiation: Settling claims with policyholders, third-party claimants, general insurers, and workshops to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
• Vendor Management: Liaising with external technical specialists, including surveyors, legal firms, investigators, and workshop personnel, to support service delivery objectives.
• Dispute Resolution: Managing claims inquiries, escalated correspondence, and customer complaints in accordance with internal service standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Process Optimization: Providing subject matter input for claims-related information technology development and system enhancement projects.
• Team Support: Providing guidance and technical support to junior claims handlers to assist with onboarding and standard operating procedures.

You will join an established claims operations team comprising technical specialists and claims handlers reporting directly to the Claims Manager. skills and experience required
To be successful in this position, you must meet the following objective criteria.
• Education: Diploma or Degree in any academic discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in general insurance, including at least 3 years handling complex motor claims.
• Certification: Possession of Basic Commercial Insurance (BCP) and Personal General Insurance (PGI) certifications.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of claims-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and general insurance products.
• Project Oversight: Capacity to support information technology development projects and claims system applications.
• Communication Capability: Effective communication skills with the capability to mentor junior personnel.
