Operate and maintain cloud-native services in production across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Hands-on experience with cloud services including: Lambda, ECS/EKS, FSx, Glue, SES, GuardDuty, WAF, Shield Advanced, Security Hub, KMS, Secret Manager, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, API Gateway, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud Monitoring
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, uptime, and scalability across all platforms, support production and staging environments with 24/7 reliability objective

Maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates, and driving automation and GitOps practices.
Executing CIS security remediations and hardening based on government security baselines, and performing vulnerability remediation.
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and acting as a complex technical escalation point.
Adhering to strict ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and managing ITSM tickets.

skills and experience required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of Commercial Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 2 years in public sector or regulated environments.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS (primary), Azure, or GCP in production environments.
Expertise in Windows Server patching and administration, strong background in ITIL processes, and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira).
Proven experience with CIS security hardening and remediation.
Experience in a 24/7 operational environment with shift rotation is mandatory.

Preferred Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect/SysOps, Azure Administrator Expert, RHCE/LPIC, or ITIL v3/v4 Foundation.
