About the Role
As the Senior Manager, Group Consolidation and Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire group consolidation process, including the meticulous review of consolidated financial statements. You will be instrumental in preparing comprehensive monthly and quarterly management reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing crucial variance analyses and insightful financial perspectives. A key aspect of this role involves ensuring unwavering compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and other pertinent accounting standards. You will also be responsible for coordinating with various subsidiaries and business units to efficiently gather and consolidate financial information , and performing in-depth analytical reviews of consolidated financial statements to pinpoint key variances. This position requires a proactive approach to researching and interpreting accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to offer expert technical guidance on complex accounting issues. You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing technical accounting papers, memos, and policy updates to ensure ongoing compliance and address emerging accounting complexities. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with other departments such as operations, legal, and sales to support financial integration and reporting requirements , and engage with IT and SAP consultants for the implementation and configuration of SAP modules related to financial consolidation and reporting.
Skills and Experience Needed
To be successful in this role, you should possess a degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional qualifications, along with a CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification. A minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience is required, with a preference for experience gained within a Big 4 firm and/or a listed company. You should be thoroughly familiar with group accounting policies, tax requirements, and internal control procedures. Experience with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance is a significant advantage, as is experience with SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly initiative-driven, possess a high degree of integrity, and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
