Our client is a fast growing company with over 10 years of experience who is a market leader within their industry. As part of their plan to invest in technology, they are now hiring an experienced Data Center Engineer / Data Center Operations Technician to join their team.
About the job
- Handle day-to-day triage and technical support of Data Center Operations Systems
- Frontline Support: Provide Tier I service support for critical 24/7 Data Centers, focusing on BMS, EPMS, and OT devices.
- Incident Management: Receive, triage, and action incoming phone calls and tickets from internal customers. You will detect and analyze alarms to provide basic fault isolation and troubleshooting.
- Proactive Operations: Provide proactive and reactive assistance to all internal customers and support the DLR operations environment, taking ownership of unfamiliar tasks.
- Collaboration & Escalation: Collaborate with the service desk for Tier 1 issues requiring IT assistance. Effectively escalate issues to Tier II, Tier III, and management when necessary, ensuring effective lines of communication.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of incident, maintenance, and problem details in near real-time.
Skills and experience required
As a successful applicant, you will have proven working experience in DCIM Data Center Infrastructure Management, Building Management System BMS and EPMS Electrical Power Monitoring System.
Exposure to communication protocols like Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, SNMP, and Web Service will be added advantage.
